GREEN ZONE: me mareo señor director
Todos somos perfectamente conscientes de los diferentes patrocinios encubiertos o no en muchas películas. En sólo unos segundos me vienen a la cabeza unos cuantos: Bond y su Aston Martin, Forrest Gump y Apple, casi cualquier película americana y Budweisser, Toy Story y Mr. Potato. De este modo, las marcas esperan que tras ver la película algunos espectadores compren sus artículos.
“Green Zone” aporta una novedosa fórmula: esperan que consumas el producto en el mismo cine. De hecho, estoy convencido que si facilitasen una muestra a la entrada, todos llevaríamos uno en la siguiente película de Paul Greengrass. ¿Lo han averiguado ya? Sí, se trata de la Biodramina. Deberían poner un anuncio después de ese de Vodafone para que apaguemos el móvil: “No pote al señor de delante, tómese siete comprimidos de Biodramina en cada secuencia...”
No me malinterpreten, no se trata de una película vomitiva en el sentido más peyorativo de la palabra. Lo que ocurre es que el movimiento Dogma es una minuncia comparado con esto. Me mareo señor director. Me mareo mucho, mucho. ¿Por qué tiene que mover tanto la cámara? Pero si no hace falta... Ya hay muchos disparos, explosiones y puñetazos. Si para filmar un film de pin-pan-pum necesita recurrir a sus operadores de cámara más saltarines, es que la historia de por si no tiene la emoción necesaria... o peor aún, es que no sabe filmar una secuencia de acción como Dios manda. Tras “El Ultimátum de Bourne” ya no me queda ninguna duda....
Por lo demás, “Green Zone” se deja ver. Lo cierto es que se trata de otra película más sobre la guerra de Irak, pero a diferencia de “The Hurt Locker”, esta por lo menos entretiene. Desde luego, el enfoque es muy diferente. Ahora el Gobierno americano nos engaña a todos con las inexistentes armas de destrucción masiva que le hacen buscar al bueno de Matt Damon, quien no consigue encontrar ni unos yogures caducados.
Salvo el instante en que Damon decide hacer literalemente lo que le da la gana, desobedeciendo órdenes directas, la historia es bastante creíble. Por momentos recuerda a la gran “Spy Game”, sin llegar al alto nivel de esta. Greg Kinnear se come literalmente a Matt Damon. El director hace bien enfrentándoles sólo unos instantes en el mismo plano.
Por último, en cuanto a la banda sonora de mi admirado John Powell, he de decirles que esta vez se ha pasado de vueltas con una composición demasiado rítmica, sobrada de percusión. Hasta llega a ser molesta... Suspenso para Powell en esta ocasión. Entre el cameraman saltarín y la música, no sólo les recomiendo llevar una caja de biodramina: ¡No cenen antes de entrar al cine!

Básicamente es coger los Bournes que ya hizo y llevarlos al máximo exponente. JJ Abrams supo dar el toque justo de movimiento de cámara en acción en "Star Trek" (en el making off se le ve agitando literalmente la cámara mientras graba) pero me da que a este Greengrass se le ha podido ir la mano a lo Michael Bay...
Buena reseña y esperaremos a que se edita en DVD/Bluray para verla.
Parece que el Sr. Greengrass ha acuñado definitivamente un estilo personal de filmar la acción, no quedándose contento con tener un montaje vibrante y casi extenuante al estilo de Michael Bay o Doug Liman (su antecesor en la saga Bourne), sino también sintiendo la necesidad de mover la cámara de la manera más realista y menos cinematográfica posible... en su descarga diré que me parece un acercamiento interesante a nivel estético aunque evidentemente cansino en exceso o sin mesura. De todas formas, José Luis, quizá haya gente que tenga mayor capacidad que nosotros para digerir tal cantidad de inestabilidad visual... en cuanto a Powell, sabemos que una de sus grandes debilidades es la percusión, sobre todo la combinación de bases ritmicas de orígenes variopintos... pero puede que, como bien dices, esta vez se haya pasado. Siempre nos quedará la nueva de Dreamworks Animation (Cómo entrenar a tu dragón) para esperar lo mejor de Powell.
