Memoria viva: Abla, el ejemplo.
Tendemos a interpretar que la memoria de un pueblo es la lectura de su pasado, la documentación que queda de hechos, eventos o impresiones en el subconsciente colectivo. ¿Se han preguntado alguna vez como se registra la historia? Queda impresa en hojas de periódico, en pistas de audio y vídeo en formato digital. La imagen de un historiador como un notario de la actualidad, que va registrando lo que sucedes se suele representar como hermosa (lo es en los comics de la Marvel) pero en realidad no existe ya que el presente que registramos en los Media versa sobre lo que hacemos pero no sobre lo que somos y eso hace que el historiador se quede en la fría superficie.
Desde 1999 cualquier persona con un ordenador y conexión a la red puede tener su página web y convertirse, en cinco minutos, en un cronista de su propia vida y gracias a los buscadores esas ideas, momentos, fotos, luces y sombras de cada uno quedan registrados para siempre (o al menos para muchas décadas).
El siglo XX es, gracias a la electrónica, el siglo mejor documentado de toda la historia de la humanidad. La cantidad de datos es tal que en muchos momentos ha habido que desechar registros por la imposibilidad de mantenerlos todos y se han perdido momentos tan significativos como las grabaciones originales de la llegada del hombre a la Luna. Conocemos a la sociedad que habitó en ese periodo de tiempo pero en términos absolutos las impresiones de las personas sólo llegan a nosotros si estás tienen cualidades literarias u otros escribieron sobre ellas.
Pero ¿cómo pensaba, y en qué cosas, un jovencito de un pueblo del Extremadura? No lo sabemos, ni lo sabremos. ¿Es importante? Sin duda, cualquier colectividad es la suma de sus más pequeños componentes. Desde hace 1999 ese vacío se está llenando y no sólo podemos acercarnos a lo que cualquier persona siente si no que podemos observar lo que hace toda una población. Y lo hacemos, y lo harán, sin la mirada sesgada del historiador.
Abla es el mejor ejemplo. La actividad electrónica de esta localidad es enorme en términos de red. Una treintena de blogs personales, un par de portales que aglutinan los contenidos generados por los vecinos, página en la wikipedia, 130.000 páginas que contienen el término "Abla". Una breve estancia en abulenses.org (recopilador de las distintas webs) muestra a un pueblo muy activo e implicado y lo vemos desde un gran rango de aspectos: desde el prisma de la tercera edad que varias vecinas nos ofrecen desde su web hasta la página que se abrió para relatar la reconstrucción de la iglesia o el envío de alimentos y enseres a Honduras en el marco de una acción solidaria. Pero, por encima de todo, vemos las voces de cada uno de ellos, leemos lo que pasa por su cabeza, nos acercamos a aspectos que desconocíamos y que ni siquiera podemos intuir. Uno ve Abla en la red y ve una comunidad viva y participativa y la ve desde cualquier parte del mundo.
El próximo 17 de mayo se celebra el I encuentro de Blog Rurales ¿y dónde se celebra? Gracias al esfuerzo de Paco Fernández (pacoxxi) que lanza la web 'Abla en Internet' en 1997 y continua con el Blog de Abla en Internet desde 2006, el Ayto. de Abla, el centro de profesorado de Almería y la dinamizadora del centro Guadalinfo han conseguido juntar en un mismo evento a varios de los actores más relevantes de la escena española de la Internet personal, la Internet del Blog. Y ninguno de los ponentes se extraña porque al consultar donde está Abla se encuentra con una entidad perfectamente definida y con una presencia en la red entrañable. Los temas a tratar son variados pero orbita sobre ellos el cómo la tecnología de Internet funciona como un aglutinador de experiencias, deseos y sentimientos y crea comunidades tan fuertes como las que se crean en el Mundo Real. La combinación de ambos mundos, el real y el electrónico, es el mar en el que las sociedades futuras nadarán.
Abla construye su memoria viva cada vez que le da al Enter, sus ciudadanos pueden no intuirlo pero lo que son como mente colectiva y como entidad geográfica queda reflejado y guardado en formato electrónico para que sociedades futuras lean como sentía cada uno de sus predecesores. Su pequeño granito de arena queda indexado adquiriendo cada vez más valor hasta que alguien decida volver a mirar como éramos. Si Abla ya es un referente en nuestro presente imaginen lo que será entonces.
