POZOS DE AMBICION: Daniel Day-Lewis y poco más...
Pillarse los dedos con una puerta, ver una película de Almodóvar, caerse por las escaleras, ver una película de Almodóvar, quemarse con aceite hirviendo, ver una película de Almodóvar... En este mundo hay pocas experiencias más desagradables que ver esta película.
Y es que "There Will be Blood", quizá debería titularse "There Will be Tediousness". Ni siquiera la sensacional interpretación de Daniel Day-Lewis salva de la quema a esta especie de mortificante prueba iniciática de acceso a la poco concurrida secta de Paul Thomas Anderson, quien sin embargo sí acertó con las originales "Magnolia" y "Boogie Nights".
Las tres o cuatro lectoras que todavía me soportan, saben perfectamente que al Harry Callahan que esto escribe le gustan los films con "sello personal", esos con una rúbrica que convierte lo convencional en interesante y lo aburrido en entretenido. Pues bien, a este LARGOmetraje no le falta el sello, va certificado y con acuse de recibo, pero aburre al más paciente de los espectadores... Sí, la interpretación del protagonista es colosal, pero uno tiene tentaciones de abandonar el cine desde el minuto cinco (nada de rimas, ya bastante tienen si han sufrido este film).
Por si fuera poco, la banda "sonora" es una de las más desagradables de la historia. ¿De qué manicomio ha salido este compositor? Si la música es a veces un actor más de la película, este compositor sobreactúa de lo lindo. Consigue crear tensión, pero se pasa de la raya con sonidos muy desagradables y excesivamente prolongados. Antes comentaba que "uno tiene tentaciones de abandonar el cine", matizo: uno tiene tentaciones de abandonar el cine con los oidos tapados.

PD: Te olvidaste que aún te queda algun lector... :-D
Lo que mas me ha preocupado (yo tenia untencion de verla) han sido tus comentarios sobre la BS. Probablemente sea lo mas dificil de soportar en un mal trabajo cinematografico.
Daniel es mi fijo para el premio de la Academia. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que le dio con el pie izquierdo un taconazo a la estatuilla.
