Las películas de mi vida
Sí, es cierto, en Garaje Kubrick nos encanta hacer listas, opinar y hasta discutir.
No voy a gastar más saliva en preámbulos, de modo que voy a grano.
1.- Blade Runner
2.- Los Bingueros
3.- Manhattan
4.- Bailando con Lobos
5.- 2001: Una Odisea del Espacio
6.- Alguien Voló Sobre el Nido del Cuco
7.- Marea Roja
8.- Ben-Hur
9.- Harry el Sucio
10.- Bambi
1.- Blade Runner, 1982 - Ridley Scott
He perdido la cuenta del número de veces que he contemplado esta obra de arte. Me gusta tanto que recuerdo muchos diálogos palabra por palabra. Para más inri, la música que Vangelis compuso es una de mis bandas sonoras favoritas. Todo y más en el enlace del título.

2.- Pensándolo bien, voy a cambiar Los Bingueros por Centauros del Desierto, 1956 - John Ford.
Porque es la mejor película del mejor director. Así de fácil. El Harry Callahan que esto escribe está dispuesto a presentarle amablemente su Magnum a quien disienta.
3.- Manhattan, 1979 - Woody Allen
Posiblemente la mejor película del genio neoyorquino, fue esta cinta el detonante de mi profunda admiración por Él.
Todo lo que compone esta película me encanta: la fotografía constituye el mejor tributo de Allen a su ciudad, el guión, las interpretaciones de Woody, Diane Keaton, Mariel Hemingway... ¡Buf! ¡Impresionantes! Además, y sin que sirva de precendente, la música (no compuesta para la película) de Gershwin queda... de película.
4.- Bailando con Lobos, 1990 - Kevin Costner
Porque es una de las grandes. Porque me gustaría ser John Dunbar. Porque John Barry compuso una música grandiosa. Porque disfruto de lo lindo durante 185 minutos cada vez que la veo.
5.- 2001: Una Odisea del Espacio, 1968 - Stanley Kubrick
La primera vez que la vi fue en la TV, en el programa ¡Qué Grande es el Cine! de Jose Luis Garci. No me podía creer lo que estaba viendo, todo un espectáculo visual y sonoro que sin duda marcó un antes y un después en mi concepción del cine.
6.- Alguien Voló Sobre el Nido del Cuco, 1975 - Milos Forman
La interpretación de Jack Nicholson es difícilmente superable y la atmósfera que logró crear Milos Forman hace de esta una de mis cintas preferidas. ¡Hasta Danny de Vito se sale!
7.- Marea Roja, 1995 - Tony Scott
Porque a bordo del USS Alabama me aficioné a la música de cine. No fui el único: Steven Spielberg alucinó de tal manera con la partitura de Hans Zimmer que le hizo de inmediato director musical de su productora Dreamworks.
8.- Ben-Hur, 1959 - William Willer
Sus 11 Oscars me traen al pairo, pero tiene la mejor banda sonora de la historia del cine. Miklos Rozsa, eterno.
9.- Harry el Sucio, 1971 - Don Siegel
Porque YO soy el protagonista. Por algo soy el Harry Callahan que esto escribe. Algunos me conocerán por el nombre de pila "Clint" y el apellido "Eastwood", pero después de tantos post hay confianza: con "Harry" es suficiente. Además, la banda sonora (vean mi esquizóide fijación) de Lalo Schifrin es mítica. No se pierdan el tema de Scorpio.
10.- Bambi, 1942 - David Hand
Porque fue la primera película que vi a los cuatro años en un cine de sesión continua. Mi madre dice que nos tuvimos que quedar a verla dos veces.

Qué bueno el ir desgranando tus razones para explicar el porqué de que la película esté en tu lista.
¿Te gustan las bandas sonoras? Es que no me ha quedado claro... Fíjate, me has picado y te voy a replicar una por una:
1.- Blade Runner: Me la puse una vez y no pude acabarla. Simplemente me dormí. Esa atmósfera, la lluvia, los diálogos.. no entiendo nada, no sé quién es quién, ni lo que pasa.. Creo que me la pondré otro día a ver si es que tuve un día tonto.
2.- Los bingueros: Creo que la ví una vez en 'Cine de barrio', pero apenas recuerdo nada. Pero ya que lo dices, tengo un secreto inconfesable que confesar: Me encantan las películas de Paco Martínez Soria!! Uff, ya lo he dicho, que a gusto me he quedado.
3.- Manhattan: Estoy deseando que la vea mi novia, que aún no la conoce. Esa música, esa fotografía, ese blanco y negro.. inigualables. Cierto es que he visto más veces 'Annie Hall' y casi que la prefiero, me siento más identificado que con 'Manhattan'.
4.- Bailando con lobos: ¿185 minutos dices? A mí se me hace media hora cortita. Sufro pensando que el mismo hombre que hizo esto luego hizo 'Waterworld'.
5.- 2001 Odisea..: La ciencia ficción no es lo mío. Como en el caso de Blade Runner, las varias veces que la he intentado ver, me he quedado dormido. En mi descarga he de aclarar que siempre era porque la echaban a horas intempestivas de la madrugada. Pero ahora tengo toda la colección Kubrick y pienso verla entera (recién levantado). Sí recuerdo que hay escenas que me dejaron pensando '¿cómo han hecho esto?'
6.- Alguién voló..: Sólo la ví una vez, me encantó y estoy deseando volver a verla. ¿Qué puedo decir de Jack Nicholson? Espectacular, como siempre.
7.- Marea Roja: Otra que no he visto. La pongo en la lista 'must see' para 2006.
8.- Ben-Hur: Como siempre la ponen, o bien el 25 de diciembre, o bien el Jueves Santo, me he perdido el empiece SIEMPRE. Pero a partir de que le recogen en el mar, puedo decir que es un peliculón, carrera de cuádrigas aparte.
9.- Harry el sucio: Ver comentario película nº 7.
10.- Bambi: De las de animación 'de toda la vida', me quedo con 'La bella y la Bestia', me parece insuperable.

- Blade Runner: ¿Te dormiste? Sería porque te la pusiste por primera vez en un fin de año, como Juanpi, y llevabas un "Hannover" encima de la leche.
- Lo de tener toda la colección de Kubrick enmienda tu pecado con Blade Runner. Eso sí, el perdón no es eterno, de modo que ¡ya estás viendo 2001!
- Que no hayas visto Marea Roja lo entiendo pero ¿Harry el Sucio? No me oblegues a disparar mi Magnum, no me obligues... :-)

es que lo que no te dije es que estoy completando la colección de Todo Clint Eastwood.. Así que después de ver todo Kubrick, ya sabes a quién le toca.
(Y dicho sea de paso, estoy haciendo Todo Hitchcok). Como ves, no me voy a aburrir los próximos meses.

Pues yo votaría por una que no está puesta: "Supernova". Con la ínclita Marta Sánchez, en aquellos días en los que todavía conservaba un morbazo que te rilas. Conozco a uno que fue a verla y no padece secuelas (que sepamos).

Me hizo sentirme un pelele en manos de un director unico.
Tambien me paso en sospechos habituales de manera que quito marea roja de la lista y pongo esta ultima.
Yo comparto la lista de pisilicon pero eliminaria Mulholand del gran mentiroso que se hace llamar director y meteria los bingueros en su lugar.
