WTF! ¿Desde cuando una organización no gubernamental (se supone que la SGAE es independiente del gobierno, ¿verdad? ¿VERDAAAAD?) promulga leyes?

No creo que sea una traición del subconsciente sino una descripción de la realidad.
Una realidad de la que tal vez se conoce poco, pero que es así. El Ministerio de Cultura se rige por los planteamientos y peticiones de la industria y las entidades de gestión. Sólo les oyen a ellos, que dicen obstentar la representación "de los creadores, autores y artistas", algo que no es cierto, ya que sñolo representan a los derechohabientes, y los mayores derechohabientes son las grandes discográficas. Les encargan informes a la SGAE, FAP, PROMUSICAE, eGEDA, agedi, etc, y sólo a ellos. Sólo escuchan a esa parte, que le encarga al Ministerio las leyes que hay que ir cambiando para favorecer sus intereses.

Así que Enrique Bumbury no ha hecho más que decir las cosas como son: "leyes interpuestas por órganos de gestión como la SGAE", entidad que parece haber usurpado el papel del ministerio de Cultura.

También hay que decir que, gazapo inicial a parte, su discurso en este caso es muy contrario a la SGAE. Defiende precisamente lo que David ha dicho otras tantas veces: que los artistas basan su trabajo en el de otros, que es el acceso a esas obras anteriores lo que permite precisamente la creación de nuevas obras, que los derechos de autor tienen límites, y que usar la creación de otro sin pagarle no es necesariamente algo diabólico.

mmm ... nada de esto hubiera pasado si, tanto el plagio como su música, estuviesen bajo una licencia de Atribución - Compartir bajo la misma licencia ...

Cachondeo al margen, ¿entiendo bien, si interpreto sus palabras como que la Sgae, defiende el plagio ... ?

Yo no me sorprendo por la frase que David subraya, además si él lo dice él sabrá.

Y después hablan de confianza y de independencia esos partidos...

Me pregunto como le sentaría a Bunbury si cualquier otro grupo o cantante utilizara una de sus "canciones" para titular su single. Se imaginan, por ejemplo, ese estribillo espeluznante de su último disco "... en la pulpería de Lucita...". ay mi cabeza

Pues si le sienta mal, que se fastidie. Solo hay que leer letras de grupos míticos como Iron Maiden (p.e. Rime of the Ancient Mariner), Metallica (The thing that should not be), para ver de dónde sacaron la inspiración. Asi es la música, y la pintura, y la literatura.... y aún asi, los creadores, inspirados por otros artistas, son igualmente unos genios.

Cuando lo leí me partí de risa. Además de la burrada de leyes dictadas por la SGAE, se da la curiosa circunstancia de que la SGAE no tiene ningún tipo de papel en los plagios.

A sus ojos, si hay dos canciones, hay dos "obras que generan derechos", aunque una sea plagio de la otra. Dos mejor que una!

Bunbury se ha expresado mal, desde luego, pero tiene toda la razón... Él mismo reconoce que se graba canciones de discos que le dejan sus colegas, y pasa de la SGAE y que el dinero realmente se lo hace con los conciertos.
En cuanto a "plagio"... pues no, no es un plagio, simplemente omitió indicar la fuente, que eso sí es algo un poco más serio, pero jamás "plagio". Ahi tenemos por ejemplo al gran Joaquín Sabina y su "Donde habita el Olvido", o a Extremoduro citando a Machado y a Lorca... por indicar sólo unos cuantos. Y no se les acusa de plagio. "Al mal follador, hasta los pelos le estorban" y "si la envidia fuese tiña, cuántos tiñosos habría".

Belit: Los tiros no van por ahí, van por lo de "leyes interpuestas por órganos de gestión como SGAE" ;)

En cuanto a lo del plagio, los otros ejemplos que mencionas (Sabina y Extremoduro) citan la fuente. Bunbury no sólo no la cita, sino que figura en el libreto como autor, con lo cual se atribuye (quizá involuntariamente, no lo niego) la autoría de algo de lo que no es autor (por lo menos en exclusiva). Ya me dirás como se le llama a eso... ;)
