La verdad es que lo que dices es bastante razonable, sobre todo en cuanto a que una métrica diaria minimiza un poco los errores de contabilización, a expensas de no mostrar unas cifras de audiencia tan grandilocuentes.

Ahora te voy a hacer la pregunta "malvada": ¿en vuestra empresa os favorecen los datos diarios frente a la competencia u os perjudican? Supongo que si tenéis una audiencia bastante fiel, el dato diario no debería ser peor que el mensual. En el caso de sitios web "de paso" (como le ocurría a ADN.es), el dato diario suele parecer mucho peor que el mensual (y, probablemente, el anual sería aun mejor).

Me alegra que coincidamos. Sabes que no hablo de "nuestra empresa" nunca. En este caso hablo del mercado. Creo que para Internet puede ser positiva la utilización de métricas darias, ya que lo equiparas a una coherencia publicitaria similar a otros medios que nos doblan en inversión!

No lo veo Adrian. En lo de que minimiza el error, obviamente, tengo que estar de acuerdo pero, el que ese dato sea más útil para el mercado (como dato básico) solamente me valdría si las estrategias de los anunciantes durasen 1 día. ¿porqué no darlas todas y ordenarlas en función de un índice que las combine?
Por otro lado, otros medios nos doblan en inversión y, muy posiblemente, en el margen de error de sus métricas. Tenemos que darnos tiempo, esto está evolucionando muy rápido.

Es interesante tu discrepancia y argumentación sobre la misma. Pero me mantengo firme. Las campañas podrían durar un día a razón de 1 millón de usuarios únicos... Se trata de dotarle de sentido publicitario en métricas que suenen a las centrales de medios: lectores día, oyentes día, share de un programa ayer, x millones de personas vieron el partido ayer...

Eso anima al anunciante, que debería pensar: OJO, una campaña de tres días en Internet garantizándome buenas posiciones tiene una pegada importante en volumen, al igual que diariamente una inserción en prensa de dos días...que las hay.

Sintonía con el mercado. Pero claro, los únicos al mes son un referente importantísimo... pero hay riesgos evidentes de estar un poco inflado...

Interesante reflexión, a la que me apunto desde el punto de vista de métrica y de transparencia. Pero como alguno ha mencionado ya, veo difícil actualmente llevar esto al mercado publicitario.

Es más, si juagamos a ser buenos como propones, el dato diario refleja mejor la realidad por cuanto no abulta el número de usuarios. En ese caso se me ocurre la siguiente relfexión ¿Qué cifra preferirá tu gestor de cuentas, y por lo tanto tu gerente, llevar a la agencia y/o anunciante, la diaria o la mensual?

Te propongo oficialmente para que la Asociación Española de Anunciantes te de un premio a la ética profesinal y enseñarles el camino, esto, más una frecuencia 1 y acaba del todo con nosotros ;-)
